At Home At Traditions of Beavercreek: Ed and Judee Evaniuk, Garden Home Residents Since 2018
Ed and Judee's Journey
Ed and Judee Evaniuk have been Garden Home residents at Traditions of Beavercreek since 2018. They loved the area and hoped to remain there while pondering their future. Ed, a retired Officer in the United States Air Force, desired to stay in the Beavercreek area because of its proximity to Wright Patterson Air Force Base, where he has access to medical care and other eligible services thanks to his years of service there.
While they were considering their options for the future, Ed and Judee received information in the mail from Traditions of Beavercreek. The brochure piqued their interest in the community, so they decided to schedule a tour. Ed and Judee were impressed.
Traditions communities are home to seniors looking for comfort, care, and the good things in life. Residents enjoy a rich social life, gracious amenities, comfortable and secure surroundings, restaurant-style dining, a staff of licensed nurses, and as little or as much assistance as they desire over time.
During their retirement living considerations, the Evaniuk’s did their research. While proximity was important to them, they also hoped to find a welcoming place to belong and call home. They found that at Traditions of Beavercreek. Equally important to them was finding a pet-friendly environment for their cat, whom Judee calls “a little sweetie.”
Ed and Judee toured several other communities but found they liked Traditions best.

Once the Evaniuk’s settled into their Garden Home at Traditions of Beavercreek, they quickly began getting involved, participating in activities, and making friends. Ed was pleased to discover several other Air Force veterans at Traditions of Beavercreek, which made him feel comfortable at home and helped validate this important decision.
The people and the friendships the Evaniuks have made at Traditions of Beavercreek are precious to them. “We have very nice neighbors,” Judee said. “There is a wonderful camaraderie that exists between independent living residents,” Ed added.
Ed and Judee love the amenities and events at Traditions of Beavercreek. They both love the men’s and women’s brunches that are hosted every other week. And they were surprised to discover how much they enjoyed chair exercise classes. They both feel that the chair exercise classes have benefited them. Mike, the physical therapy assistant who conducts the classes, is “perfect for the job, they said. They enjoy his fun, outgoing, and motivating personality. “We never knew that chair exercises could be so comprehensive!” Ed stated. Judee shared that she feels she uses “every muscle in her body.”
The Evaniuks also appreciate the additional niceties that come with being a resident of Traditions of Beavercreek, such as timely and attentive maintenance. For example, Traditions of Beavercreek replaced the microwave that broke and installed a new dishwasher for them when it “sprung a terminal leak.” Ed stated that replacement appliances were received “quite fast.” They both appreciated the quick and attentive service to these issues.
Finding a retirement home is a significant decision. It is critical for families to find a place where they are comfortable, have access to amenities and activities that are important to them, and, most importantly, a place where they can thrive. And Ed and Judee Evaniuk found that at Traditions of Beavercreek. Thank you for your service, Ed, and welcome home!
